Tim Gunn, of “Project Runway” fame, tried to kill himself when he was 17. In a public service announcement for the Trevor Project — a suicide prevention hot line for “gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and questioning youths” — an emotional Gunn says, “When I woke up the next morning after taking more than 100 pills, I was in a whole other level of despair. I thought I shouldn’t be here. This isn’t what was meant to be … I am very happy today that attempt was unsuccessful … It gets better. It really does.
